Some years ago, two delightful young lasses (only just slightly younger than they are today) were exhausted on a Friday evening. Friday-ed. A difficult week of mundane conflicts and everyday disappointments could have led to a full weekend of moaning and whinging about their respective lots in life.

But instead they made a decision to list the things they were grateful for.

And the list is still going...

Festival

10 days in January.
Bob Evans, Henry Wagons, Sam Hawksleigh, Katrina Burgoyne, Mustered Courage (the Festival Find!), Harry Hookey, The Pigs, Mustered Courage, The Pigs, The Bushwhackers.
Great friends, old and new.
Dancing. Beers. Late nights.
Lots of fun.

Max - the computer.

I fear his days are coming to an end but he remains a loyal ( if a little slow) confidant, travel buddy and all round entertainer.

Lost item- FOUND

I had thought I had lost a whole bunch of photos of traveling round Ireland, Scotland and Germany.

I really thought they were gone.

Til I found this yesterday.

So grateful!

Henry Wagons

He's a bit like if Johnny Cash & Willie Nelson had s son, and then brought him up in Melbourne.

Josh Lyman

Gem will probably be cranky for me posting this first.

Josh may be imaginary, but he is very real to me. I love him.

Ira Glass

I am so grateful I got to listen to Ira Glass tell stories and talk about telling stories last night as part of the Sydney Festival. What a fantastic mid- week treat!

NB - picture thanks to google.

Coffee!!

Sydney coffee is brilliant. But my barista in Tamworth knows her stuff!

The ladies of 469

Sparkle cakes don't really sum up the gratitude I have for them letting me crash for a week! X

Henry

Faithful steed for many years.

I feel a bit guilty about considering a new set of wheels!

Every Monday should end this way...

Beirut

Beirut at the Opera House.
Blissful brass.
The Fisherman's Wharf, Woy Woy

Grown Up Circus

To mum for the tickets. To Gem for the company. And to the performers.
A 200 kilo drag queen who very publicly felt me up, saying my boobs were "Fabulous." A perfectly chiseled male pole dancer walking on air to Nina Simone.
